Keys to the Kingdom: Personal Prayers of Freedom is 40 scriptural prayers that help you to find freedom in God. He is able to set you free. And our goal in this recovery is a free and holy life. Our main addiction should be Jesus as Lord, and the more we pray His word, the more Jesus will become our focus.
Life can be tricky sometimes, especially when we are addicted in unhealthy ways. We live in an addiction plagued society. The opioid epidemic is a good example. Or, we can become addicted to something as simple as Homemade Blue-Bell ice cream. And there is always the possibility of a fixation on an internet obsession. We can also become trapped by thoughts of fear or doom. But there is hope and we can find freedom in God’s word. And when facing an addiction it is paramount to know His Name: Jesus to set us free. There is no power higher or stronger than His Name. These are prayers that can set you free from any bondage.
Example prayer: Day 1 – Father God, help me, I struggle with this addiction ___________. I look around and see so many others doing the same thing so I tell myself it’s okay. But it’s not. I want to be free. Set u free from living with children of the lie. Place me in union with children of the truth. Set us free to need only You. Put Your name on me and I will never be the same. Amen (Numbers 6:22-27).
