Grieving the loss of a loved one can be difficult.  When we lose someone we care about, sometimes we don’t know where to turn for comfort in our grief. But scripture tells us that seeking God will bring solace.  Keys to the Kingdom: Prayers For Those Who Grieve, will guide your prayers with scripture as you mourn the loss of your loved one.

We’ve written forty scripture-based prayers for grieving to receive comfort from the God of all comfort.  When you can’t find the words to pray for you or for someone else who is mourning, we’ve made it easy to pray God’s word and feel His presence.  Grief can be difficult to work through, but with God, all things are possible.

Example prayer: Day 1 – We come to you Father of compassion and the God of all comfort for you to comfort us in our loss.  Somehow you identified with us in the sufferings of Christ so please let Christ our comfort overflow to us now.  Our hope is in you as you share in our pain we shall share in your comfort.  For only you, the eternal God has the power to console our grieving hearts. Amen ( II Corinthians 1:3-7).
